Planning and Zoning
The St. Gabriel Planning and Zoning Commission is a five-member public body appointed by the mayor.
Zoning Commission
The zoning commission is the advisory body for establishing land use policies and is charged with the responsibility of holding public hearings on land use applications and makes recommendations to the City Council on rezoning requests, variances, special use permits,conditional uses, home occupations and zoning code amendments.
Planning Commission
The planning commission oversees the approval of subdivision plats, development of development plans and ordinances. The commission also ensures that the developments proposed complies with the Subdivision Regulations, Master Plan, Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, and other City Codes of Ordinances.
